How do I get notification sounds for incoming chats?
In order to get notification sounds to work with Kundo Chat, we recommend that you follow these steps for your browser.
Read this guide to set up Windows to receive notifications from Kundo chat.
Chrome
Google Chrome has a feature designed to block involuntary sounds from ads and videos. Unfortunately, that feature sometimes interfere with Kundo Chat's sound notifications when a new message arrives, which in the worst case leads to chats being missed.
To allow audio notifications in Chrome:
- Click on the padlock in the address bar of the browser, and click Site settings:
- Scroll down and find the Sound option in the list:
- Click the drop-down list on the right, and select Allow
Done! Verify the settings by clicking on the padlock again and see that Notifications are allowed, and that Sound is allowed.
The Automatic (Default) setting can cause problems for the notifications. If you still have that setting, you need to change it to Allow by following the steps above.
Microsoft Edge
To enable audio notifications in Microsoft Edge:
- Go to the following link in Edge: edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplay
If it is not possible to click on it, you can copy and paste it into the address bar of your browser. - Find the Allow field, and click Add to the right:
- Enter kundo.se in the field, and click Add. If you enter Kundo through another domain than kundo.se, e.g: kundo.no, en.kundo.se or your forum subdomain, you will need to add that domain to the list by repeating step 2.

Firefox
Firefox does not allow you to enable audio notifications for a specific domain in their settings. To enable audio notifications, you will need to let Kundo try to send you a notification while you do not have a tab with Kundo selected. After that, you need to keep an eye on the address bar for the following icon:
Click the icon in the image above, and change the setting Autoplay to Allow Audio and Video:

Safari
- Log in to kundo.se
- Right-click the address bar and choose "Settings for kundo.se"
- For the field Auto-play select Allow All Auto-Play
