User groups

Updated

When a ticket is assigned in Kundo, it can be assigned either to an individual or to a group.

This guide explains what groups are and how to manage them.

What is a group?

A group is a collection of individuals/users who can be assigned a ticket - either for individual tickets or through automatic rules.

Each group has a unique name, as well as its own color and avatar, making it easy to identify.

An individual/user can be a member of multiple groups.

What happens when I’m a member of a group?

When you’re a member of a group, you and everyone else in the same group will receive notifications and ticket updates. The group can also be @mentioned in comments.

No statistics are presented at group level — statistics are still attributed to the individual who handles the ticket.

How do I manage groups?

To manage a group, you need Full access in Kundo, meaning you have permission to manage users.

Go to Settings in the bottom-left corner and select Groups.

Select Add group.

Give the group a name and choose an avatar color.

Once the group has been created, you can add users.

Select Add users and click the users you want to add.

You can also copy an existing group and manage its users afterwards.

The group can now be assigned tickets and @mentioned in comments. Tickets can also be assigned to the group through automatic rules.

Everyone in the group will receive notifications in the same way as when an individual is assigned a ticket.

Users can add filters to only display personally assigned tickets, tickets assigned to their groups or both.
